Match-3-system in 0.4 didn’t feel intuitive when it came to countering or instants (hard to keep track of what was used already or not), and using the match mechanics and placing cards was a distraction that didn’t feel natural. Nor good for table space. System totally replaced by the following:
- Each player has own deck, face down.
- 7 card draw, each new round.
- Abilities are paid in x cards. No matter their suit/value.
- ATK/MOV can’t be countered and cost only AP.
- Abilities can be countered by black.
- Random checks are done by flipping top card. Only two types – normal of 70% success chance, and hard of 48%. Checks can be redone if you can match the suit of the miss card and have higher value.
- Melee attacks are 100% hit chance.
